About Us
Our Mission
Music has the power to connect people, inspire learning, and enrich lives, yet many people lack the resources and opportunities to experience it fully. Share the Music bridges that gap through music education, personal storytelling, and community initiatives that bring people together across generations.

What We Do
Share the Music develops music education resources and community initiatives that help people learn, connect, and experience the benefits of music. We work to connect donated instruments with programs that need them, develop engaging educational materials, and create opportunities for people across generations to share their stories and connect through music. By collaborating with community organizations, we aim to make music a meaningful and lasting part of the communities we serve.
The Inspiration
Hi! I’m Annie, a Girl Scout who loves playing music and believes everyone should have the chance to experience its power to inspire, connect, and enrich lives. Share the Music began as an idea for a community event where people could repair and donate instruments to students who needed them. As I researched the project, I realized the challenge wasn’t simply a lack of instruments, but connecting existing resources with the people and programs that could benefit from them. That discovery inspired me to create Share the Music, which has since grown to include music education, personal storytelling, and community initiatives that explore how music brings people together across generations.
